Katen is on a mission to transform Hawaii homes — one beautifully designed space at a time.

She first fell in love with the islands and moved back in 1991 — and never left. That deep connection to Hawaii, its architecture, and the way people actually live here shapes everything about the way she designs.

For over 20 years, she has been creating homes that feel elevated and completely, unmistakably you. Not generic. Not safe. Homes that make you walk through the front door and think, "Yes. This is exactly right."

She works with busy professionals, condo owners, and homeowners across Oahu who expect the same from their designer that they bring to their own work every day. She brings that same level of confidence, clarity, and obsessive attention to detail to every single project.

With a BFA from Chaminade University, NKBA membership, and years running a construction firm before founding Bloom Again Design in 2004 — she understands not just how a home should look, but exactly how it gets built.

But what she's most proud of? Clients who walk into their finished home and say "I never would have thought of doing that" — and then never want to leave.
